Petal — Privacy Policy

Effective July 3, 2026

Petal ("the app") is a personal task organizer. This policy explains, in plain words, what information the app stores and how it is used. The short version: your garden is yours — we don't sell, share, or advertise with your data, and there is no tracking of any kind.

What we store

• Your content — the areas, tasks, notes, moments, and settings you create in the app.
• A sign-in identifier — a random account identifier (for guests) or, with Sign in with Apple, an anonymous Apple identifier and — only if you choose to share it — your name. No email address is required, and no account at all is needed to use the app.
• A notification token — only if you enable reminders, so your own reminders can reach your device.

Where it lives

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), protected by security rules so that only your signed-in account can read or write it. Google acts as a data processor; no other third party receives your data. Your data is never used to train AI models and is never sent to any AI service.

What we don't do

• No advertising, and no data is ever sold or shared with advertisers.
• No tracking across apps or websites, and no analytics profiles.
• No reading of your content by humans, except if you explicitly ask for support.

Notifications

Reminder notifications are scheduled on your device. They are optional, and you can switch them off at any time in the app's Settings or in iOS Settings.

Deleting your data

Open Petal → Settings → Delete account & all data. This permanently erases every area, task, note, and setting, along with your account identifier. No copies are kept. You can also email us (below) and we will delete your data for you.

Children

Petal is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app has no social features, no ads, and no external links inside the experience.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date.
